   Proposal Description:
   Alzheimer?s disease (AD) and behavioral variant frontotemporal (bvFTD) are neurodegenerative diseases that commonly display dysexecutive cognitive profiles on neuropsychological testing, which can complicate the process of determining differential diagnosis. The objective of this study is to examine which facets of executive functions are most affected in bvFTD and best differentiate this syndrome from AD. Cross-sectional studies have examined dysexecutive cognitive profiles in AD and bvFTD subjects who met diagnostic criteria for probable age-related neurodegenerative disease however our study aims to utilize pathology/biomarker confirmed data from the large National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center's UDS and examine longitudinal executive function change in bvFTD  and AD.
